Architect: Jacobs Engineering
Square Footage: 100,000
Facility Type: Office
Location: Pasadena, California

Turelk joined forces with Jacobs Engineering to deliver their 100,000-square-foot corporate headquarters relocation in Pasadena, a project that required precision execution under an accelerated schedule. With a fixed lease commencement date at the new 135 E. Lake location, Jacobs needed to transition seamlessly to avoid costly holdover fees. This high-profile project not only introduced a more collaborative, modern office concept but also set the design standard for Jacobs' global offices moving forward.

Executing such a futuristic, high-design workspace within an older building presented significant construction challenges. The existing structure had uneven floors and inconsistent ceiling heights, requiring extensive remediation to accommodate glass partitions, stone tile flooring, and modern finishes while maintaining design integrity. With no time for delays, Turelk implemented a two-shift, six-day work schedule, ensuring all work was completed within an aggressive 12-week timeline. This project exemplifies Turelk’s expertise in historic renovations in Los Angeles and Pasadena, overcoming structural limitations while delivering on both design vision and schedule certainty. The successful execution of this project was driven by the seamless cordination between Turelk, Jacobs, and our dedicated subcontractors, further solidifying Turelk’s reputation as a go-to general contractor for complex, time-sensitive office transformations.
