Occupying the entire second floor, NeueHouse Bradbury features communal workspaces, private studios, conference rooms, wellness areas, a café, and a private bar and restaurant, all centered around the building’s stunning atrium. The project required seamless integration of modern infrastructure within the existing framework, including the preservation of exposed wooden ceiling joists, original oak-framed windows, and 20 historic fireplaces, while incorporating Versailles parquet flooring, linen drapes, and custom furnishings that complement the building’s bold character. Executing a project within such a culturally and architecturally significant space presented unique challenges, including navigating strict preservation guidelines, upgrading building systems to meet modern code requirements, and coordinating construction within an active, historically protected environment. Turelk’s deep expertise in historic renovations and working in Los Angeles’ most challenging spaces was instrumental in delivering a workspace that respects the past while embracing the future. Our long-standing relationships with LMA Architects and the LA development community continue to drive successful projects like NeueHouse Bradbury, reinforcing Turelk’s role as a trusted general contractor in transforming historic spaces into modern, high-performance environments.
